The Ship Smarter with fedex.com 2008 Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time on Sunday, June 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time on Saturday, July 26, 2008. Sweepstakes subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.
ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents, 18 years of age or older. If at the time of entry, you are under the age of majority in your state of residence (21 if a MS resident, 19 if an AL, NE, or PA resident) you must have permission of your parent or legal guardian to enter. Officers, directors and employees of FedEx Corporate Services, Inc., its subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and production agencies, including Counterpart Communication Design, LLC and RMA, Inc, their immediate family members and those living in the households of each are not eligible.
TWO WAYS TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER, PLAY OR CLAIM A PRIZE. 1) Using the Internet, visit www.fedex.com/shipsmartersweepstakes and register or log in using your e-mail address. Then click on the Sweepstakes link and follow the online instructions. Online entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on July 26, 2008 to be eligible; all online entrants will receive either an instant win message or a Sweepstakes entry confirmation. 2) Print your full name, mailing address, and date of birth on a piece of paper and send it in a #10 envelope, postmarked by July 26, 2008, to: Ship Smarter with fedex.com 2008, P.O. Box 8295, Westport, CT 06888. Mail-in entrants will only be notified if they have won an instant prize or the Grand Prize. Limit one entry per person per day by any means. Mechanically reproduced or automated mail-in entries are not eligible. All entries become the sole and exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

Week 8 - Smart Money: Find investment advice with a one-year subscription to the SmartMoneySelect on-line investment guide (retail value: $130). Five prizes to be awarded.
There is a limit of one instant win prize per individual; however, all valid entries received throughout the promotion period will be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. Instant prize winners will be notified by e-mail or First Class mail. If a winner cannot be reached within three (3) days after the first attempt to contact him/her, that individual will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. The odds of winning any prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
SWEEPSTAKES: On or around August 15, 2008, a random drawing will be conducted from among all valid entries received. One Grand Prize winner will receive a “work smarter” custom office consisting of:

AFFIDAVIT AND RELEASE: All prize winners will be required to complete an address verification form before the prize can be shipped. Winners of prizes valued at $600 or more will be required to execute and return within 7 days of receipt an Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity and Liability Release. If an individual under the age of majority wins the Grand Prize, the winner's parent or guardian must sign and execute the required Affidavits and Releases. Failure to return an Affidavit and Release within the specified time will result in forfeiture of prize and selection of an alternate winner. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to use the winner's name, likeness, and biographical information for purposes of advertising and promotion in all media, including online worldwide, without limitation or further compensation.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for late, lost, illegible or postage-due mailed entries or for technical, hardware, software or Internet malfunctions of any kind, unavailable or lost network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this promotion or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this promotion. Prizes are nontransferable, and no substitutions are allowed except by the Sponsor who reserves the right to award prizes of equal or greater value. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners. In the event company policy prohibits the awarding of a prize to a company employee, prize will be awarded to the company and a designated representative at the company must execute all necessary paperwork. No more than the stated number of instant win prizes will be awarded. If through computer programming or systems error more than the stated number of winning messages are posted, then the stated number of winners for each prize level will be determined in a random drawing from among all valid entries posted or postmarked on or before July 26, 2008. By entering, participants (or, if under the age of majority in their state of residence, their parent or legal guardian) agree: (1) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and RMA, which shall be final and binding, and (2) that the Sponsor, its officers, directors, and employees will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this promotion or the prizes awarded. The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the operation of the Sweepstakes or website, violates the Official Rules, acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If for any reason (including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes) the Sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as described in these rules, Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and will post notice of the suspension or termination on the Sweepstakes web site. In the event of cancellation, winners will be selected from all eligible online entries received prior to cancellation and all eligible mail-in entries received.
